Follow the hiker and get some delicious beer. The food is also really great, a whole plate of pickles, fiddleheads at that! Eclectic place. Music is from a real turntable, the people know what's up with different craft beer, logo is on point, and the decor is lively.
Doc's is a classy version of a typical Vermont roadhouse. (And I mean that it the best way - I'm a huge fan of a good roadhouse.) The interior has muted lights and a nice wooden bar. There is a pool table, some booths that are a bit more private, a back deck (which is really nice when it's warmer out) and a place for a small band. The food is pretty solid - I've had the burger and a couple of other items. Decent beer selection. I've even had a decent martini here...and I'm picky. The owner is a real nice guy and the staff have always been nice...excepting one time...there was one server for the whole place and she was a real piece of work...but that was once and I've been there a dozen times now.
Simply the best kept secret in Vermont.. great food good people.. staff friendly and attentive.. go get you some...
Place is incredible. Low key dining with a top-notch beer list. When we were there, they had Foley Bros and Lawson's on tap.
